How to hide Instagram Stories from selected followers

Secret Squirrels… it seems there are a few of you out there…

In yesterday’s post, we looked at how you can create a private ‘Close Friends’ list, which is a great way of sharing select content with a handpicked group.

Judging from my DMs, that was a popular post, and based on a request from a couple of you, here’s a tip on how to hide your stories from selected followers.

This is such a handy tool, and can be used if you want to hide personal content from work followers, or just from people you don’t know very well.

To hide your Instagram Stories:

Tap your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
Tap the menu (three bars) in the top right.
Tap Settings.
Tap Privacy.
Tap Story.
Select or search for the profile/s that you would like to hide your stories from.
Tap Done.

Note that using this feature will also hide any live videos from the selected followers.
